Law officers in Manatee, Sarasota plan DUI checkpoints

"MANATEE - Law enforcement officials from both Manatee and Sarasota counties are scheduled to conduct roving DUI checkpoints this weekend. They will be covering major roadways in south Manatee County starting at 10 p.m. Friday, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office news release. The checkpoints will conclude at 4 a.m. Saturday. Officials from the Manatee and Sarasota sheriff's offices, the Florida Highway Patrol and Bradenton Police Department will be conducting the checkpoints, the release stated."
