Florida Boating Under Influence Crackdown
Tampa BUI Attorney notes that Authorities have announced a Florida Boating Under Influence Crackdown. Known as Operation Dry Water - will seek out impaired boaters.Under Florida BUI law: Penalties for operating a boat while impaired can be:
$500 Fine and 6 months Jail for a first conviction.
$1,000 Fine 9 months Jail for a second conviction.
$2,500 Fine One year jail for a third conviction.
A BUI with an accident, property damage, injury, or death is considered a felony.
